Hey! Welcome back for another episode of the Pro Painter Podcast. This week, Nick May chats with fellow Pro Painters Austin and Lacie Ilsley, owners of AI Painting Plus in Ohio.
Austin started painting at the age of 16 working at a neighbor’s business. He and Lacie met in college, and they became pregnant shortly after. Austin lost his job in the ’08 recession, putting the young couple in a tough spot. They pushed forward nevertheless, and opened their own painting business in 2013.
The Ilsleys make it clear they care about company culture. Being intentional about the employees they hire ensures a healthy working environment for loyal crewmembers, and a gratifying experience to customers. But they didn’t stop there! They became part of the Pro Painter community and are applying everything they learn into their own systems and processes to improve their business in every way.
